horn coral
Just looked that up and I think thatโs exactly what it is! Thank you so much ๐
Greetings @olivia-mccrindld ! We have actually seen several several horn coral specimens from Ireland and Northern Ireland posted here over the past couple years. If it weren’t for its small size I would say you might have something like a Siphonophrentis. At any rate, it is probably safe to assume that this is a streptalasmatid horn coral. What are your thought @leonardo-miranda?
both genera seem plausible. even though it may not exactly be as the specimens that come up when l search up Siphonophrentis, it’s still quite big. bigger than the majority of horn corals posted here.

Hi Matthew! Thank you so much for your comment! This has been so much fun looking through photos and doing some research on the species. I really appreciate the insight ๐
Greetings @leonardo-miranda ! Thank you for your second opinion. My sentiments exactly.
And your welcome @olivia-mccrindld ! Glad we could help ! Upper Ireland is apparently known for its large horn corals. There are 3 large genera I know of. The last person to post before you was at the Siphonophyllia beds in Sligo.
