Deidra Floyd has contributed specimen mFeM 96050 to myFOSSIL!
Those circles either look like crinoid stems or strange erosion patterns, but I’m leaning towards crinoid stems
Greetings @deirdra-floyd and @a-trilobite ! In the second photo I can see a round impression that could be crinoid mold, but I would need a closer photo to confirm. The rest of the specimen appears to me ferrous concretions in ferruginious sandstone.
my apologies @deidra-floyd
Ferruginious sandstone also makes sense because it is the dominant matrix of the surrounding strata. The lithologies of the Conemaugh Group and Kanawha Formation are sandstone heavy.
Awesome thank you so much!
