Possibly shells embedded in rock? Not sure.
I don’t believe them to be brachiopods.
The anatomy does not resemble brachiopods.
It’s definitely something, no pattern like that just appears three times. It resembles an arthropod exoskeleton, but I’m not certain. maybe @matthew-gramling has an idea
Greetings all! This one puzzles me. I’ve seen chert deposits like this in similar looking matrix which was part of the Fort Payne Chert. Perhaps it is from an invertebrate, but I can’t tell. @chloe-geddes might be the better judge for this specimen.

One of the trilobite exoskeletons looks kinda similar in this photo… (bottom left)
