3 years, 1 month ago3 years, 1 month agoThis is now my biggest sand tiger shark tooth/striolatma macrota (don’t think I spelt that right) I’ve ever found at Lee on Solent and it measures nearly 2 inches!
Just putting this up to double check that the species is correct and to show the sizes of the teeth you can find at Lee On Solent in Hampshire.

It will be 46 million years old putting it in the time period of the middle Eocene
Striatolamia macrota. I have seen one pushing 3 inches and I have one that is over 2. So yes.
