Here are some good books to get started in animal bones and skulls. Animal Skulls by Mark Elbroch. Peterson Field Guide to Mammals (old or new version). Those are easy to find and get the next two are harder to find and more expensive and probably for the more advanced. Mammalian Osteology by Gilbert, and 3 to 5 books by Stanley Olson. The last one is very hard to find. It is on Amazon but can be expensive. I found my copies in a library and copied them.
It’s fun to get the young started. I started at age 3 with a cow skull and never quit 48 years later.
