Is that a dinosaur claw??!!
It looks small for a claw, could it be a thumb spike?
It could be the claw of a small or juvenile organism but I’m not sure. I’m also not sure that it’s from a dinosaur, but it’s very possible. Maybe @matthew-gramling could be of more help.
Not a claw, its a tooth. Needs more research to find out from what.
Greetings @a-trilobite and @david-hammer ! I believe this actually a tooth with a mammal tooth with the root attached. If it’s consistent with your other finds, then I assume it’s a late Paleogen or early Neogene mammalian tooth. Most likely omnivorous or carnivorous from the tooth shape.
Good! I was just about to tag you @bill-heim
The major formations date from the late Miocene (Tortonian to Zanclean): Yorktown Formation and Duplin Formation.
Then there are two Cretaceous formations: Cape Gear and Black Creek.
I know this post was a while ago I know what it is it is A dolphin ear bone and I am 100% sure that is the correct identification!
Definitely not a dolphin ear bone
