      Greetings @amy-allen ! Your specimen looks like a piece if ferruginious sandstone with considerable silica/quartz deposits.

      Thank you for the great reply !
      We have just discovered .. hundreds, thousands of “rocks, fossils, bones – on our property and I’m not sure where to even start but learning quickly! I’m learning the hard way which apps / sites / boards are beneficial and which are not. MYFOSSIL.org has been my #1 go to and just reading your reply gives me hope that I can tackle all this, as I am now obsessed with every little and large “object” I find. I will probably be posting and of course reading a lot, and thank you for your reply !
