FOSSIL UPLOAD
First, make sure you have a myFOSSIL account, this is required to upload your fossil information. If you are interested in seeing if your fossil can be used for research purposes, please follow through the following steps. They walk you through the information needed and why it is helpful for other scientists to use it for research questions. Even if the information you have on your fossil is not enough to be used for research purposes it will still benefit the community through educational means and help others identify their fossils. Specimens that have sufficient information will be uploaded to iDigBio and GBIF (Global Biodiversity Information Facility) for public accessibility.
If you have already gone through the stepwise process that explains each piece of data please click through to a summary tab where you can enter in your specimen data on a single page.

Homo Sapiens dont have that large Tooth. this looks like some Mesozoic creatures, can you tell if the specimen is fossilized or not.
Can I see the bottom
@smoran could help with this one if it is some other creature. I can see how it looks like a molar though, interesting!
@dyon-hunting the root portion is definitely mineralized. The central part of the crown has a hole, which is filled with some white material.
@daniel-park yes,it looks so, but difference is that human molar has usually two roots.( though the crown looks very similar). The long & single root system draws my attention somewhere else… @smoran if you could interfere.
the white patch on the crown goes in favour of a work of Dentist… 😀😀
😂
could it be a premolar if it has one root? if it isn’t human, it’s definitely from a primate. Large monkey or ape
@bill-heim have you seen the post? I think it is a modern human tooth. What do you think?
It does look like a premolar, however not being a dentist, I would not consider myself to be an expert in that field. I recommend taking it to a dentist and asking his opinion.
