An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Friday, repeating until May 26, 2017

The Anza-Borrego Desert Paleontology Society is offering a Paleontology Certificate Program for 2016-2017.  Paleontology and geology lectures, fossil curation & laboratory preparation workshops, and field surveys are held each Friday, November through May.  The program includes 160 hours of instruction.

You will earn a State-sponsored certificate upon successful completion of the program. This free program provides a unique opportunity to learn about the local geology in one of the most geologically active regions of the country, and to study the astounding fossil treasures of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.

Our 2016-2017 program will begin on November 4th.

General Schedule:

9am:  lecture

10am: lecture

12-1:30pm:  lunch break

1:30-4pm: tours, workshops, or field experiences
