2016 Western Association of Vertebrate Paleontologists meeting

February 12, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - February 14, 2016 @ 1:00 pm

$60

The 2016 Western Association of Vertebrate Paleontologists meeting will be held February 12-14, 2016 in Borrego Springs, California, at the Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center. Borrego Springs is located in eastern San Diego County and is surrounded by California’s largest state park, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park (ABDSP).

ABDSP preserves a view into the region’s long vanished past – the most continuous history of life for the last seven million years in North America. It is one of the richest and most varied fossil records of its time in the western hemisphere.

February in the desert is also one of its most beautiful times, and busiest. You may see fields of wildflowers, big horn sheep, bright blue skies, and dark starry nights.

Learn more about the host of this meeting, the ABDSP Paleontology Society, here.

More details about the WAVP meeting can be found here.

Please note that, due to the size of the venue building, attendance is limited to the first 100 registrations received.  So register early!  Please make registration checks out to Anza-Borrego Foundation and include “WAVP” in the comment line.  To register, print the registration form and mail it, with registration check, to:
