A Scientist Walks into a Bar: Indigenizing the Museum

November 17, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

We’ll talk with Field Community Engagement Coordinator Debra Yepa-Pappan about bringing Native voices to the Museum.

A man and woman sitting on a small stage speak to a crowd that is seated in front of them. A sign reading, ”The Hideout Chicago” hangs behind them. The woman holds a microphone, and the man looks towards her.

Ever wonder why dinosaurs went extinct but lichens live forever? What your DNA really says about you? How to farm in a big city? Find out in this monthly series, as our scientists lead a lively conversation about science, culture, and natural history.

All events take place on the second Tuesday of each month at The Hideout. Tickets are available online for $5. Doors open at 6:30pm. Cash bar, 21+.
