January 6, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Why are fossil fish so rare in our area? Park paleontologist Alan Goldstein will focus on Devonian and Mississippian fossil fish describing why complete specimens are so rare in the Ohio Valley. Examples of fossil fish bones and teeth will be shown. They will be compared to examples from locations where complete fossil fish have been found.

Part of our program series “Marine Life of Today and Yesterday,” presented by park paleontologist & naturalist Alan Goldstein, with the Falls of the Ohio state Park for 25 years.
