Meet the Paleontologist – Fossil Fish Tales, Falls of the Ohio State Park

Why are fossil fish so rare in our area? Park paleontologist Alan Goldstein will focus on Devonian and Mississippian fossil fish describing why complete specimens are so rare in the Ohio Valley. Examples of fossil fish bones and teeth will be shown. They will be compared to examples from locations where complete fossil fish have been found.
