Tween Saturdays: Antarctic Dinosaurs

November 17, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Middle schoolers go behind-the-scenes to get an up-close encounter with our collections and exhibitions.

Tween girl looks closely at items on a plate, with collection storage in background.

Register your tween to spend a Saturday examining Field Museum specimens. Designed just for students in sixth through eighth grades, these day-long, hands-on experiences teach middle-school students about fishes, insects, mummies, and even dinosaur fossils.

Tweens go behind the scenes to learn about how and why scientists collect specimens, perform their own observations, and get hands-on experience applying what they’ve learned. Sessions run from 10am–3pm (a nut-free lunch is provided) and focus on themes based on our collection.

Tickets are $30 ($25 for members). Contact [email protected] with questions, and bookmark this page for information on future Tween Saturday dates.
