If you are looking for science quality scans, NextEngine is the best in the market: http://www.nextengine.com/ That’s about $3000 Makerbot has also scanners, but these are not science quality. http://store.makerbot.com/digitizer There is an open source app that comes from Microsoft Research and claims to produce science quality scans.
