    Hi All,

I have this piece or coral I found recently on a Late Jurassic reef near Dielmissen in Lower Saxony Germany. I am very new to fossil collecting and I am at present hoovering up any and all information I can and after returning from a trip I am right away planning to go out again. I think I have caught the bug. One of the area I am not sure of is cleaning and prep. As you can see from the picture it is green from sitting around in the forest. I am sure I will find a better example as I plan to spend a lot of time ‘swimming’ on this reef, it is only a very short distance from where I live, but i would really like to know what I can do for this example to get the very best from it. Is there a way to get rid of the green staining? And what else could I do to it?

    Kind Regards

    Matt
