Hello I am new to this site. I have been following info on this site because I wanted to go Ammonite fossil hunting. I went to the area in the Delintment Lake that is suggested in thr Gem Trails of Oregon book. Me and my son found this fossil there on Mon Aug 31 2020, I was wondering if I could get any info on this. I am guessing it maybe from the Jurassic era?

Also that is my foot and I wear a size 9 US ladies Nike. 😂

There is a very helpful publication on ammonites in this area: https://pubs.usgs.gov/pp/1142/report.pdf

Page 11 mentions the Delintment Lake area being the Trowbridge Shale and dating from the Bathonian or Callovian ages of the Jurassic.
