Students, postdoctoral researchers, and other scientists with limited funding opportunities may apply to the Jurassic Foundation for grants to undertake research on any aspect of dinosaur paleontology (e.g., field exploration, fossil preparation or conservation, morphology, taxonomy, systematics, evolution, paleobiology, paleoecology, paleobiogeography, taphonomy). To be considered for funding, applications must clearly demonstrate that the proposed project will have a direct impact on understanding of non-avian dinosaurs and/or Mesozoic birds.

Deadline: Two granting cycles are held each year. The deadlines for these cycles are February 15 and September 15.

Award Amounts: Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded to successful applicants. However, most grants average between $1,000 and $2,000.
