Hello, I am working on a series of mini screen capture video tutorials on how to use NextEngine scanners, auto drive and multidrive. Anyone on this group currently using NextEngine?

@cgrant We work with NextEngine 3D scanner HD for about a year or so, we started scanning all our finds with it that we brought to the campus. Got a pretty decent collection for today. This is our first 3D scanner that we used. Unfortunately, it works poorly in the fields , it suddenly turns off and does not turn on for a long time. Although it works fine in our laboratory. Therefore, about four months ago one of our assistants takes his own Artec to our fields and we can scan our finds right in the outcrops. It’s quite convenient and interesting. Thus, NextEngine is our lab scanner, and Artec is a field scanner.

It makes sense. If anyone can afford Artec, I would definitely recommend over Next Engine. Let us know if you notice a difference between scan quality. Thanks for your comment.
