Our curators are often faced with a posting on emuseum asking what type of mineral or rock this is. If you think it might be a fossil that is fine although if you are not sure, it probably should be posted in this forum and not on the emuseum. However, remember that this is a fossil site, not a mineral site. If you are asking what kind of mineral this is, there are plenty of gem and mineral sites on the web where these questions can be asked rather than taking up the curators time.
