Let’s start a forum relating to Texas fossils and events. My friends at the Dallas Paleontology Society taught me a lot about the local fossils which I can share.

I just bought a book with great and detailed colored photos to help with identifying Texas and U. S. Pennsylvanian fossils. All fossil guides should be this detailed and informative:  Color Guide to Pennsylvanian Fossils of North Texas by Mark McKinzie and John McLeod. It is a bargain for $30 on Amazon.

Thank you John for this recommendation. Do you have some nice Texas fossils that you would like to share with us. Or would you like to share some Texas specific preparation techniques in our preparation Forum? Would be great!
