    These were in an Aurora, NC matrix. They are very similar, the one on the right however has tiny serrated edges.

    Hi Kristin,

    I’m almost certain these are bivalve fragments, specifically from a pecten. I do not know much about the Aurora fossils, so I, unfortunately, could not give more of an ID than this. I hope it’s helpful though!

    These are definitely shell fragments.

    @kristin-hsu Yes, these are fragments of a broken pecten shell.  Pectens are found at Aurora
