    Extremely well preserved coral with extended polyps & some other animal on top.  Looks like a miniature elephant, what is it?  Could identification date this more precisely than 470-270 million years old?

    I wonder if its possible if there are some carving done on this, very interesting.

    @sammymiller funny you should say that.  I just washed it with water.  But it was found in the vicinity of native American artifacts, they liked strange things.  They could have traded for it, it could have come from anywhere.   But I didn’t see any evidence of “carving”.
