Thanks to @vperez and @smoran for putting on a fantastic activity for the girls attending the WiSE Girlz Camp! These two great informal educators took the girls collecting at the Three Lakes Creek this morning. The girls learned how to screen wash for fossils and were able to identify various shark teeth and ray tooth plates that they came across. Later on, they completed a shark body length lesson based on the crown height of 3D printed Megalodon teeth. All of the girls asked in depth questions about the specimens they found and worked together to answer questions regarding the possible ecology of Florida from 10 million years ago! The future is bright for these young scientists!
