I have a similar fossil. Can you tell us where it was found so we could get an ID? (If in Nashville, probably a bryozoan )
-
Oregon
-
This is an ammonite! With a more specific location I can get a more specific age but it is definitely mesozoic.

I honestly don’t believe that I was the first person to find this fossil. The reason I say that is because I found it really close to my moms house. I was clearing out all the foliage, and then dug up some dirt so I could plant some plants and that’s when I came across a bunch of stones. So I decided I would use the stones around my plants. I’m really interested in the formation does anyone know what this is?
-
In Russia, similar finds date back to the Carboniferous period (Pennsylvanian, Moscovian). The beginning is 315 million years ago, and the end is 307 million years ago. This is coral, compare with my findings: https://www.myfossil.org/dwc-specimen/145696/

@johanna-followill it is definitely Ordovician (Nashville Group) but the geologic map has two formations in the area: Bigby-Cannon Limestone and Hermitage Formation. The former is on top of the latter and I believe more thickly bedded.
