it’s interesting but does not look like wood that I’m familiar with. The photos are really out of focus, so it will be harder to identify. It looks like the fossils in your area are marine.

Nice job on the new photos! I still don’t think it’s fossil wood. I’m a little unsure it is a fossil, but it certainly looks like it was alive at one point.

Not everywhere in the world has fossils. Some places have books that will list where to look for rocks and fossils, but you need to know the laws where you are and if you can collect anything.
