Top left shows what looks like a slice through a sea lily stem.

I think youve got a piece of sea lily stem from the side. Unusual colour? Good find I believe.

Whilst these are lovely chert nodules, I do not see any fossils in them.

Sorry. Eggs will show their shells. This is a concretion or nodule. Sometimes They form around a bone or other organic material.

The shiny, colourful part is ammolite which comes from ammonites.

There seems to be bone fragments visible around the middle of of the picture. this

Sure Lynette there was 3 pieces, I think it’s ammonite. When I cleaned it up with a toothbrush you can see the coloured shell.

Looks like a nodule. They sometimes have something like a bone inside. Clay start making layers and harden. You may want to try and chop a small piece off one side. If there is any bone etc. you will certainly see it.

This is very interesting. Look at coprolite images on Google Images. Type white coprolites. There are some interesting drawings there.
Can’t find anything with that “coprolite” search.
But doesn’t it look like a tooth? That center part where it’s solid grey looks like it still has the root in the canal. I saw a similar tooth that belonged to mammoth.
