Could be a trace fossil of a worm burrow where it was feeding and expelling the sand back out.

It could be a trace like fossil burrow, but I don’t know of any burrows with that pattern. Maybe it’s the roots of a plant or simple animal, but I don’t know. Do you know the age of the rock you found it in and if it was underwater or not?
