Hey @adam-whitehouse ! Do you have any information about the general location where you found this specimen? Providing the nearest town can help narrow down the geological context, and therefore help provide an identification.

That would likely put you in Lias Group strata, which is Late Triassic to Early Jurassic. Fossils there are marine, so this likely some genus of fish. I would consider reaching out to a local museum to get further info. It could be of scientific importance.

Hey @adam-whitehouse ! Do you know the geological unit it was discovered in? Rockd is helpful app to find that info out. The specimen looks similar to a fossil fish of some kind.

In one light, it almost looks like an avian dinosaur fossil but that seems highly unlikely.
