Looks like scale tree bark, nice find!
I think it might be a dinosaur egg, HOW AWESOME
It’s egg shaped when you turn it over 🦕 🦖
Any idea of how old it is?
That must be million years old, definitely a baby dinosaur inside an egg
Add location info to it if you want age. It looks like wood or other plant material that the concretion formed around. I have a piece of wood with similar texture that is Jurassic. There are also margaretia dorus that look like this, though it looks from this one image to be more 3-d than Margaretia. more pictures, especially the “top” edge in this photo, scale, and location would help a lot to get a more accurate id. It’s a super cool find!
Dinosaur eggs with preserved embryos are very rare, and no dinosaur is rectangular with a diamond pattern. I still say it’s a piece of scale tree bark, which is still a very exciting find
Thanks guys 😀 it was found on seaton Carew beach a couple of years ago, how do I add more pictures so I can show the top and back of it
You could just post more
There should be an edit specimen button available and then can press the plus sign next to your first photo to add subsequent ones.
