Hi, @alexander-levin – Could you include an image with a scale bar? Your dimensions are not correct or in different units.
Maybe @fauve-wilson or @vperez could weigh in on the taxonomy, geochron, or lithologic info?? -
I can’t quite tell from the photo if this is a ray plate or an impression from a clam. If it is a ray plate, the order should be Myliobatiformes and the family probably cannot be determined. I’m assuming this is from a Gainesville Creek, which would be the Coosawhatchie Formation, Hawthorn Group.

I enlarged the image and lightened it to get a better view. It is not a Hemipristis. It appears to be a bull shark (Carcharhinus leucas) with damage on the posterior (left in the image) side.
