It’s 12mm and it was found at low tide on the beach.

Southampton is near where I live and it’s a big place for trade over here on importing and exporting. The titanic was built there and would have sailed out of the Solent up north.

Is is possible for a shipwreck to become fossilized? eventually there will things like fossilized buildings, cars, houses, and random items like bottles and staplers. It’s an interesting thought.

The Mary Rose (Henry VIII’s vessel built to battle the french) was sunk by an intake of water in the solent and lay there for about 400 years. Until in the 90s what was left was pulled out the water and put in a museum in gun wharf at the historic dockyard

This is now my biggest sand tiger shark tooth/striolatma macrota (don’t think I spelt that right) I’ve ever found at Lee on Solent and it measures nearly 2 inches!
Just putting this up to double check that the species is correct and to show the sizes of the teeth you can find at Lee On Solent in Hampshire.

I’m going to have to agree with the snail ID on this one. These remind me of Southern Flatcoil snail shells, which iNaturalist tells me can be found in Greece. Not sure if they specifically are that species, but they do seem to be snails.
