To me, it looks like something like fossilized sand that buggies have made their way through. But I am in no way a geologist and new to this app and world of fossils! I’ve found similar looking rocks and wondered myself too

Hi @becky-honey these appear to just be very interesting rocks! The “coral-like” texture could be a result of erosion/weathering!

I don’t see any fossils here. The pitted look is due to erosion. If it is Limestone as it looks to be, acid in rainfall or from weathered leaves will cause that pitted lock as it dissolves the limestone.

What did you use to clean them with? That could be what’s giving them all the same waxy feel. What Rock group do you belong to? I’ve been trying to find a good one.
