fish skeleton
Hi @bianca-clemmons, this does look like a fish skeleton! For more specific ID, could you take a closer, clearer picture, perhaps with scale? Thank you!
I know it’s a fish…. I meant what species. Was just having some fun. Being goofy
Knightia? Did you dig it yourself in Kemmerer? The city prints nice I’d cards for the dozen or so most common fish. The guys at American gave me a stack of the cards last time I was there but of course I gave them all away.
yes corinne I think it may be knighta alta fish
Yes I believe it is a knightia… i have a pamphlet I bought over at American, but I have trouble telling if it’s Alta or Eocena. I have so many fish, it’s hard for me to tell. I’m still learning
I love these sort of fish skeletons-complete ones perfectly preserved
Me too. I have a large knightia Alta as well .
looks more Alta, going from pictures on geology.com about greenriver fish.
