Any ideas?Looks like bone to me, and very similar to the bone fragment I posted a few days ago (included again here). That fossil was identified as a fragment of an ulna from an herbivore. There are trees with spongey cores, but I agree this is most likely bone. too bad it’s broken as the preservation is gorgeous.
