2nd WMF Mural Project at the Wenas Mammoth Foundation’s dig site was completed by the La Salle High School Art students. They spent the past school year researching and practicing how they were going to do the Winter Scene of the Wenas Valley 17,000 years ago. They had 2 days in May to paint the mural. The students did a wonderful job! It was a challenge to take artwork that was done on a flat surface, and then actually paint it on the corrugated side of a cargo storage container. Last year the students completed a Summer Scene on the other side of the cargo storage container. You can see additional photos on our website at www.WenasMammoth.com, or on Facebook.
