1 week, 6 days ago1 week, 6 days ago@bill-heim ok, is Holden or Edisto possible for striatolamia, or was this a storage error on my part? I had it in my box from this summer when I did not visit Purse, but it could have been accidentally put back in the wrong bin after taking photos.

1 week, 6 days ago1 week, 6 days ago@bill-heim to clarify, it is a striatolamia, but was previously assigned by the taxon wizard to Mitsukurinidae?

1 week, 6 days ago1 week, 6 days ago@bill-heim my bad. FYI, the taxon wizard has been assigning these to the goblin family when I type in striatolamia, so there may be a lot of mislabeled specimens.

2 weeks, 1 day ago2 weeks, 1 day ago@bill-heim I’m not sure about this one. It seems wide to be a s. striata from Purse, but doesn’t seem like a s. serra from Holden either.

2 weeks, 1 day ago2 weeks, 1 day ago@mason-hintermeister seems kind of curved compared to my other s. striata teeth, but the cusplets look like s. striata. Would this be like an anterior 1 or something more front and longer?

2 weeks, 1 day ago2 weeks, 1 day ago@bill-heim would this be a posterior striatolamia striata? or one of the other positions

2 weeks, 2 days ago2 weeks, 2 days agoThank you for both of your help! Immensely appreciated! @mason-hintermeister if there are any unidentified specimens of mine that would benefit from macro photos I now have access to my equipment to get clearer/closer photos. Hopefully I’ll either find a goblin or at least get close to a full mouth full of S. striata…ha!

bull shark

@cameron-harper I agree with Bill!

Ok, so would it be c. leucas? Or are there other bull species that would be in play? And I am having trouble figuring out which formation this would be – it seems to be one of the ones from the cretaceous dredge that happened last year as I do not have any from previous years, if that helps?
