    This looks rather similar to these fossils I just found. Compare this thing to the second photo. Anyone familiar with this? it looks like a bug nest? Or a cocoon. #fossil

      Sorry for the poor the confusion. The thing in my hand is not a fossil. It’s some kind of cocoon or nest I think. I found it right next to a large group of fossils that look very similar to this thing. I posted two photos of the fossils a different post.
