Too big for a dolphin. I am not familiar with this particular tooth to determine if it is marine or terrestrial
It’s marine type animal, it could be a small whale, not sure. I am going to contact the UF Museum and see what they think – Thanks.
Just heard back from UF Museum – Yes, tooth from an Archaic Dolphin, most likely from the extinct family Kentriodontidae – Late Miocene.
