for me it looks like an interestingly eroded rock.

Cool top jaw

This is a weird and very interesting item. It looks like a lamnid shark had its jaws preserved in a very odd way. A scale with the item would be very useful to get an idea of the size. Was there any more of this where it was found or similar pieces?
-
I see lithification, which is a sign of a sedimentary rock, where fossils are found. I’m not certain if this is a shark jaw, but it is something very interesting

Greetings @chris-knowles ! Your specimen looks more like a calcereous concretion than a fossil. Such conceptions are common in Wilcoc Group strata where you are collecting.

bone. not sure if modern or fossil. but it appears to be fossil.
Looks like a few hundred to a few thousand years old but not millions. Is it made of rock or or still light?
it has a fossil. Sure
Touch it with a match, if it smells like burning hair, it is not a fossil. It does not look like it is fossilized.
