Some beaches have shell fossils, the bedrock is all old seafloor. If you have a car there are leaf imprints up at racehorse creek in Bellingham. Stone Rose interpretive center in Republic has good eocene stuff, but it’s several hours away.

If you live in the area go to a library or local rock shop and get either a gemtrails or rockhoundimg Washington book for better info.

Also from an app standpoint is there a way to badge or indicate our “experts” when they post? It’s hard to know which opinions might carry more weight if you are just starting out, and as an app user this forum doesn’t come across my feed at all. I’ve been on long enough to know whom I trust, but I know that’s not true for a lot of people.
