Hi, @cyrus-santiago – let me tag in some local hunters to help you out @samantha-ocon, @jeanette-pirlo, @vperez, @mackenzie-smith. This sort of looks like a bone to me but is also very worn so it’s hard to tell.

Unfortunately, I think this is a rock. The shape sort of looks like a proximal end of a phalange, but I can’t see any features that would indicate this a bone.

Hi, @cyrus-santiago, because of the sediment still attached to the tooth, it is hard to pin point even with a scale bar (thank you for adding the scale bar by the way). If you think that you can wash away some of the sediment, we may be able to get it down to specific epithet, but for now I would put it under the genus Carcharhinus. Lemon sharks…[Read more]

Hi, @cyrus-santiago – this looks like a gastropod whirl to me! You can update your classification to be Kingdom Animalia > Phylum Mollusca > Class Gastropoda. I’m not sure we will be able to narrow down the classification any further since it looks like an internal mold. Talk to you soon, Jen
