Hi, @d-n, where did you find this? It doesn’t look like much of a fossil to me but more information will help me figure out details. Is it a really hard rock or kind of soft?

Hard like something fossilized. Not sandy, almost like coprolite but there is some sort of “structure” of seemingly separate material. Hard in the same way but more dense and darker in color. Idk if it’s a fossil but it looked and felt similar to something fossilized or even petrified. What else would you like to know?

Found near OK/AR border.

Hey there @d-n! Can you give me a little more information (where it’s from and if you know the age)? That could help. At the moment it’s hard for me to tell if I’m looking at a rock or a fossil.

Eastern Oklahoma near Arkansas border in the entrance to an old cave opening in the side of a bluff. Have no idea of the age as I just found it. Has a greenish coloration on the section with ridges, could be oxidation or could be mold. I have only found small fossils, largest was a small fish.
