6 years, 6 months ago6 years, 6 months agoThere is an activity in the DIG BOX from the Burke Museum that teaches it using a football field. I haven’t tried it, but I think it’s a great idea. There is also a video along the same lines…..

I was under the impression that fossils were not “organic” any more. And on that subject… the book also said she would find coprolite with her discoveries and include it with the fossil. The book is written for grades 2-6, elementary level. Our kindergarten and grade 1 classes have used it as a read aloud. It is loaded with non-fiction text features!! The book is 24 pages long, then a glossary and a few more pages of credits. Thanks for asking!!
