I think this is the unfused epiphysis of a crocodilian vertebra (I actually don’t know how reptiles work with epiphyses), but could also be the epiphyses of a femoral head from some mammal.

I like the femoral head idea. It fits the shape and look.

Looks like a good fit with the size of the astragalus to be from the same animal if found at the same location. A cow or horse sized animal I would say.
