The KU Natural History Museum took our Pop-Up Paleo mobile museum across western Kansas last week, making stops in the towns of Salina, Great Bend, and Garden City. Our goal was to engage underserved audiences outside of our eastern KS base. Despite the intense heat (one of the student employees nearly passed out from heat exhaustion in Salina, yikes!), we all had a great time and the visitors raved about the exhibits & activities. We saw about 300 visitors in Salina, 100 in Great Bend, and 350 in Garden City. Here are some photos from the events!
