I have just posted my unit to the Elementary folder. It is, Fossil Forensics: Using Taphonomy to Solve Mysteries of the Past. My unit consists of five 45-minute lessons, which will be implemented four times with four different classes (mixed 3rd and 4th graders) over 11 days. I will begin on Monday, Nov. 5 and conclude the unit on Monday, Nov. 19.

I will send home the parent assent forms and student consent forms to the parents of all of my 3rd and 4th grade students on Monday, October 22. I will have my students complete the pre-survey in my classroom during the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 2.

Students will complete the post-surveys during the week of Nov. 26-30.

I am having trouble printing fossil teeth and skulls (due to lack of experience with scaling and rotating files!), but Michael is helping me, as well as a technology teacher at my school. I WILL figure this out!
