My favorite honey holes this weekend along the Alapahoochee and Alapaha #collection_site
is that honey?!
lol, nah just some very tannin stained water! This part of the Alapahoochee river isnthe size of a creek and has several small swamp springs feeding them. Beautiful petrified wood in this river and area. No fossils that I’ve found but the creeks usually have an abundance of teeth, ray plates, tapir teeth, arrowheads etc… you can sink up to your knees in the quartz sand that makes up the river bed though! !
that sounds amazing!
Oh no! You are in Florida too! Watch out there are some very dangerous new fish from Asia that get 15 foot long, and hunt people too!
