I feel like this is man made, it looks like a piece of fake brick wall or something like that. The shape and pattern just don’t look natural.

l wouldn’t say this is manmade either. however, any semblance of an identity for your specimen would require a few more perspectives and clearer images.

never mind, l noticed you already posted more images. quite a bizarre object. I’ll put it out there that it resembles scaly skin, but a trip to a museum would be recommended to make sure it isn’t simply a very odd mineral formation.

It’s from a marine English deposit originating from the mid Eocene or specifically 46 million years ago. The location is called Lee on Solent. Thanks-
