Local Formations are the Bluefield and Greenbriar, which are both of Mississippian age.

I am no expert at all, just what I’ve learned from kind folk on here replying to mine, but I want to say the circular looking things on the bottom are coral, leading me to think it all has to do with coral! Awesome find
