I found it in Montreal, in the Riviere-des-Prairies, in the province of Quebec.
Riviere-des-prairies is a river that connects to the St-Lawrence river.

Hi, @jon-frangiosa is this specimen heavy? The area you found it would be Middle Ordovician in age so I would expect a shelly fauna. At first glance, this looks like slag – which is often confused as being a meteorite. Slag is a waste byproduct from refining ore. Talk to you soon, Jen
